North East Florida Educational Consortium (NEFEC) is proud to provide through the Just Read, Florida! Office, an online training to help teachers meet the requirements for the Reading Endorsement Competency 3, called Applied Data Analysis for Principals and Teachers (ADAPT). This 15-week online training will provide teachers and principals with skills and knowledge in using the results of screening, diagnosis, progress monitoring, and outcome reading assessments to guide instructional decision-making in grades K-12. This 60-hour training, delivered completely online, meets the full requirement of Competency 3, Foundations of Assessment, of the Reading Endorsement Add-on Certification Program. Endorsement in Autism

The Education of Students with Exceptionalities Program, in collaboration with the Communication Disorders Program, offers courses that meet the requirements of Florida's Endorsement in Autism. All courses will be delivered on-line over the Internet. Endorsement in Severe or Profound Disabilities: On-line Courses

 

The Florida Endorsement in Severe or Profound Disabilities prepares professionals to teach learners with severe/profound cognitive disability, autism, and dual sensory impairment. The Endorsement  requires a Bachelor's degree or higher with certification in any area of special education with an additional 12 semester hours of coursework. Individuals may take the courses for the Endorsement as a student in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in an appropriate discipline or as an FSU special non-degree-seeking student. Application for the endorsement is made to the Florida Department of Education.
